As our Keyholder, you are a critical member of our retail store leadership team. Your primarily role is to support the store in delivering excellence in sales, service and operations.
The Keyholder will deliver exceptional customer service while being responsible for store duties, including sales floor merchandising and maintenance, learning and dispersing product knowledge, POS (Point of Sale/Cash Register) duties, ensuring store compliance, and finding creative ways to drive the business. The Keyholder will also sometimes be responsible for opening or closing the store with minimal assistance.
Job Duties
- proactively drive sales through advanced product knowledge and building strong customer relationships
- greet every Lynn’s customer, asking open-ended questions to learn about customers' project needs and escorting them to the desired product's location. Engage in friendly conversation with customers about their projects while serving them on the sales floor and at checkout
- promote engaging customer experiences by sharing expertise on baking, decorating, or entertaining
- ensure we are in-stock and easy to shop by confirming sales floor is clean and organized while maintaining visual standards, store merchandising practices, and inventory control activities
- operate POS/register to properly cash out all customers
- lift, place, and arrange items on shelves and racks
- move product from the backroom/overstock to the sales floor as needed.
- Assists leadership in minimizing shrink in the store by ensuring policy and procedural compliance including, but not limited to damages and cycle counting inventory management
- act as Manager-On-Duty, ensuring the store consistently executes operational functions. Hold keys to the store and can open and/or close the store as needed
- utilize training tools and resources to educate self on product
- perform basic operations activities including cash and merchandise handling
- follow plans/directions/schedules and act with a sense of urgency to meet the changing priorities, store needs and demands of the business
- sticker/package product as necessary during slow customer cycles
What You Need To Join Lynn’s

- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Must be able to work independently or with minimum amount of supervision.
- Orally communicate with customers and other team members on a consistent basis throughout their shift
- Willing to work a flexible schedule of days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be comfortable and able to use a POS/cash register
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time; use hands to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Continuously walk around all areas of the store throughout the shift. Bend down and reach above head
- Ability to lift product in order to properly merchandise it. The employee must frequently, and independently, lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. (under 2 lbs. on a constant basis, 10 lbs. on an occasional basis, and 25 lb. lifts on an infrequent basis)
- Climb and descend a step ladder
EXPECTED AVAILABILITY
Part-time status requires availability that meets the needs of the store. Part-time Team Members are generally scheduled to work less than an average of 20 hours per week and are not guaranteed any particular number of hours per week. Hours are scheduled according to the needs of the store and the team member's availability.
At this time, we are specifically looking for candidates with availability Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 5-7 and Saturdays from 10 am -3 pm.
Eligibility for benefits and incentives is dependent upon employment status. Lynn’s offers the following benefits and incentives to eligible Team Members for this position:
